Seems there's a lot that Tesla will not tell the facts on yet they want 20k for REMAN pack or a 90 set at 85. I'm not sure about the new companies doing pack work, but they are a lot cheaper than Tesla. Still 20k for pack gets us back to new car. Better than 100k.

For example, a 1064362-00-A battery (what would've been referred to as "A pack" in the past) is newer than a 1031043-00-E battery. See Battery table for a list of known battery pack part numbers.

On the upside, a module probably only currently costs Tesla a bit over $2k (vs. ~$10k for a full pack), so add labour and any service margin to that.

Jul 17, 2019 · Tesla's battery packs are effectively a RAID design. 70+ individual cells in parallel, each fused individually. If one cell shorts, the link pops, and the pack goes on, having lost ~1.5%. As long as you can replace the pack level bits like the contactors and BMS separately, you should never have to replace the pack for wear/degradation.

Jan 6, 2024 · The plot thickens. I double checked, the Tesla used inventory page shows 262miles. I’m pretty sure I have NCA pack because GVWR=4446lbs. Therefore car weight is 4446-826=3620lbs vs ~3860lb for LFP models. Also, 0-60 time is 5.3s vs 5.8 for LFP models. Also, I have 2 tier charging in the app. It recommends 80% for daily trips.
