The Nintendo 3ds, in North America, has a few different models which are Flame Red, Aqua Blue, Midnight Purple, Cosmo Black, Pearl Pink, and Ice white; which is rarely available. The XL features Black, Blue, Red, and White. The 2DS has a white cover with a red stripe or a black cover with a Blue strip on the side.

Initially debuting with a single model and a mere two colour options (Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black), the 3DS product line evolved to encompass six distinct hardware variants and a multitude of diverse designs available through special edition releases and customizable faceplates.
