Mar 24, 2022 · Look, I'm ok with a face reveal for Chief, but NOT in the first freaking Episode. It should have been done after they land on the Halo ring or something, or during an important moment. And let's talk about how in the FIRST Episode, they have Chief Going Rogue with an Insurrectionist right off the bat.

It was a clear double reveal tho the larger reveal of seeing master chief's face after twenty yrs and we're all supposed to start cheering. It's far too cheesy to not have a larger meaning with the music and everything. Also they dont see the lore as sacred territory like other franchises because they dont see video games as a serious medium.

I think that unlike a Link voice actor in Zelda, Master Chief should never reveal his face. Link has always been kind of a goofy character, so there's not much at stake for his voice actor. John 117? Way too serious and messianic for a face reveal. No matter what he looks like, badass, uncanny valley, goofy red head with freckles, whatever.

Apr 1, 2022 · Chief takes his helmet off all the time in the books. Master Chief's face is not supposed to be a mystery in-universe, or at least, not any more of a mystery than the face of any other Spartan-II. The fact that Chief takes off his helmet, in itself, is not a problem.

Sep 12, 2020 · As hyped as I was about this as a kid, I now feel like this was a stupid decision. I understand why they did it and how the themes of Halo 4 were about the man under the armor, but there was and is no reason to ever show Master Chief's face. That said, this was definitely the best way to do it, show the face without actually showing the face.

Apr 3, 2022 · Master Chief keeping on his helmet in games has nothing to do with his character. But with the fact that Bungie wanted to have players imagine themselves in his shoes i guess. A reason not valid for the tv series. And people gotta not bring mandalorian as an example. He has a cultural reason not to. Chief doesn't.

Feb 23, 2022 · The face reveal, much like Kwan is entirety, was unnecessary.. Frankly, the show took what was a passing interest in the IP and turned into an actual I've distaste. This is why companies need to be more cautious in the use of their IP.
