Apr 8, 2021 · Metagross makes a particularly good body for a fusion due to high attack and defence. I personally think if you’re gonna do anything it should have a high hp and a complimentary type. Muk, Heracross and Tangrowth are some good examples a thought up for good type combos and complimentary stats.

Normal Metagross with Meteor Mash would still beat out all Mega-Metagross without Meteor Mash). Excluding altered forms (primal, mega evolutions, ultra, ash-greninja, etc.) Xurkitree, Blacephalon, Kartana, Kyurem, Archeops, Thundurus, Hoopa, Pheromosa, and Rayquaza would have better neutral DPS than Metagross through all 7 generations.

Metagross inherently functions the same way. The cc is rampant in unite and Metagross who already struggles with being slightly too squishy literally reduces hindrances based on how many of his teammates are nearby. All roles aren’t inherently locked to “all rounders have to be this way” and that goes for any role.

Poor Metagross has been left behind by power creep, being severely hurt by the Gen 6 changes to Steel and other additions to the game over time. Jun 5, 2023 · Yes, still Zen Headbutt. S and A only denote IVs; but you also need to compare the base stats too. The base Metagross has 135 base Attack and 95 base Special Attack. Mega has 145 base Attack and 105 base Special Attack, and Tough Claws that will boost contact moves, and Zen Headbutt is one of them.

However, where Metagross struggles is with its speed stat, it being too slow for regular play and too fast for a trick room sweeper.
