Apr 20, 2006 · The woofers were faded from black to almost white, and the surrounds were dry and stiff, and were developing cracks in places. As you can see, these are fairly simple speakers. Why they sound so good is definitely a result of decent build quality and good parts.

I have searched the forums and have only found a few suggestions and they seem more along the lines of what is a good fit or a good option to use with existing speakers.

Apr 26, 2024 · All Minimus-7 woofers have rubber surrounds. Though I have seen rare examples with cracks or splits in the surround. An exact replacement for 1218 woofer is Realistic 40-1022 and 40-1022A.

May 11, 2012 · I had the black metal Minimus 7's back in the day, lost them when they were taken from my car. I recently picked up a set of the 7Ws with modified crossovers and new woofers - a great looking little speaker, they sound pretty good if you give them a bass boost of at least 6 dB.
