I ordered a SIM card last week and can’t get my new phone activated so I called Straight Talk and they said I needed a SIM card for a 5g phone. I went to a chat line and they directed me to a BYOP SIM card but it says 4g.

Just an FYI but you can activate the Straight Talk iPhone deal with Walmart Family Mobile, Total Wireless and Tracfone. I got my child the Walmart iPhone deal (both the 6 when they had it and now the SE) and use the Tracfone SIM card. I like that they have a phone when it’s needed.

The Unlocking Department might offer to unlock early for a fee, which seems to depend on whether the phone is Android or iPhone (and possibly other unknown criteria). I think an immediate unlock will cost $200 for Android, $300 for iPhone.
