It is a little stick with a metal loop on either end. It is small and fits perfectly into a tonsil crypt. Plus, you can sanitize it.You can use this to pick out the stones and it is smaller than a q-tip, which I feel might actually push the stones further in rather than extract them. I have had tonsillitis constantly for a years and am just sick of feeling like crap so I am having them out. I get those smelly tonsil stones also. What you are describing are tonsil stones.
