Kirkland boneless skinless chicken breasts no longer available?
Jul 13, 2020 · Hello! My family have loved these (especially because they're individually wrapped as frozen and easy to defrost), but havent seen them in stores for months now on the west coast. Have tried looking online to see if discontinued or if a shortage of chicken, but haven't found anything linked to this.

Jan 20, 2022 · Primarily, the decision was made simply for efficiency. Production lines run 50% slower when processing individually wrapped products versus Non-Individually Wrapped products. With the stress on production capabilities and labor at an all time high - this will be extremely helpful in getting more product out the door and onto freezer shelves.

I've tried cooking the Trader Joe's chicken breasts that come individually wrapped in plastic just as an experiment and it didn't work well. It was edible but not tasty. Adding a little salt, pepper and butter changes the cooking process enough that it's not worth it despite the potential convenience.

May 14, 2022 · Well, I wonder how many chicken breasts have to be discarded because of freezer burn. My wife and have them every week or so and it takes a few months to go through a bag. I'm betting we would love at least 25% of the contents to freezer burn. Did they ask their customers about this?

About two years ago, my family started complaining about the chicken breasts from Costco. They said the texture was rubbery and like the meat was uncooked. The taste was bad too.

Apr 13, 2021 · The breasts were cut thinner and were very consistent in both thickness and size with each other breast, which made them super easy to cook. I found them perfect for grilling and pan searing. They also weren't individually wrapped in plastic like the current offering, instead it was just all of the breasts loose in the main bag.

Jul 14, 2022 · Literally all gone. Last I checked, we still had the individually wrapped breasts, but it could be a regional issue. It may be time to consider a different cut of chicken until the individual breasts return at yours. I would avoid the other cuts of the frozen variety, though. I recall the tenders having the same problem.

Dec 12, 2023 · I did a search and saw the post from 4 moths ago about this occurring. I recently got a bag of the Kirkland Frozen Chicken Breasts (not individually wrapped) that are so rubbery! Can I return them now that they are opened or do I just let it go and never buy again? Thanks in advance. Edit: return policy does not address food that I can see.
