Localized sharp piercing pain in head lasting a few seconds
Mar 28, 2012 · I am experiencing a sharp, piercing pain in my head that only lasts for a few seconds at a time. The pain is so excrutiating that it is dabilitating. The pain comes completely out of the blue, and is unprovoked. It will last for anywhere from 2-5 or so seconds then will generally go away completely, as if it never happened.

Jun 29, 2004 · The other day I made the connection that the pain only happens when I swallow. The pain only lasts for a moment: I swallow, the pain gets sharp, then fades right away, until I swallow again! I do not have a sore throat or any other throat pain; swallowing just seems to be the trigger for the pain in my head.
