Fawns are an incredible amount of work, and as cute as they are, it's crucial that we do our best to keep our distance and keep them wild. Ideally, all babies would stay with their mother, but this isn't always the case. Fawns are very sensitive; things like the wrong food and human contact can stress a fawn to a critical state. During a patrol in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a police officer spotted a roe deer fawn tangled in bushes, its leg trapped by branches. With careful effort, the officer freed the animal, which only had minor scratches. Authorities were quickly contacted, and the fawn is now under professional care.
